The Goldenloch - Second week in Jan

Its been another week of ice but not without a few laughs, for pure fun go to you tube and type in Goldenloch, the ice on the loch is about 8 inches and that’s the most we’ve seen here in my lifetime, now I am getting a little bit concerned for the fish regarding oxygen but we have been cutting holes in the ice and running the aerators, problem is that we put in 2 big loads of fish just before xmas, as we can be busy during the holidays, anyway if they are still alive after the ice melts the fishing should be pretty good, Since 1st Jan I think we have had frost every day and yet the water is still running in and out of the loch which just goes to show that there is always warmer water deep down, actually with all the snow round about if we get a sudden thaw the water level could get high pretty quick, anyway there’s not a lot else to say except lets hope for some fishing soon To Book for Fishing Call John on 01337840355 or 07968006367. or email john@goldenloch.co.uk
